Donald Wayne Palmer, age 87, passed away peacefully Saturday December 12, 2020 at his home. He was born on September 2, 1933 in Portland, Maine. Donald met the love of his life, Adela Smoot, in San Diego, California. They were married February 11, 1951 and would have soon celebrated 70 wonderful years together. Donald and Adela moved their family from San Diego to Washington state in 1966. He loved watching the Seahawks play and always rooted for them except when they played the Chargers because he had to cheer for his home team. Donald was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 53 years. He loved sharing God's Word wherever he went. Donald was a loving and generous example, doing anything he could to help those in need. He treasured big family dinners and was an apple pie connoisseur. His warm smile and deep infectious laugh will be deeply missed. Donald is survived by his wife, Adela Palmer; daughter Linda (Allen) Emerson; Grandson Ryan (Silvia) Emerson, Granddaughters Kara (Jon) Shaffer, Ashley (Andrew) Means; brother David Walker, four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and other sons and daughters adopted in his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Larry Palmer, Johnny Walker, and infant son Stevie Palmer. A memorial will be held on January 2, 2021 @ 2PM via Zoom.
