April 2, 1934 - December 29, 2020 Peter Paul Urban passed away peacefully on December 29, 2020. Born April 2, 1934, in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia (Slovakia), he fled war-torn Europe with his mother and father to Montreal, Quebec. In the winter of 1961, tired of the snow and longing for some sunshine, he moved to Los Angeles, California, and proudly became a citizen of the United States. There he met the love of his life, Nancy Ann. They married and had two sons, Michael and Daniel. In 1976, the family moved to Mount Vernon to operate Consumer Rentals where Peter worked until his retirement in 1996. He loved the Skagit Valley and the people that so warmly embraced him and his family. He was "proud to be able to live the American Dream in one of the most special places in the world." He is survived by Nancy Ann of Burlington, his wife of nearly 50 years; son Daniel of Longmont CO; and son Mike and his wife Jenna of Pullman, as well as their children Elizabeth and Matthew. At Peter's request, there will not be a memorial service. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Skagit Valley Hospital Foundation Children's Therapy Program or your favorite charity.
