As a long-time subscriber, I've always supported the Skagit Valley Herald's commitment to expose and condemn racism in its many forms. That is why I was disappointed to note a contemptuous reference to "old white men" in a recent Womu comic strip.

I seem to recall a once popular comic strip was recently removed after racist remarks by its creator. Ageism and racism are repugnant and unacceptable, no matter which group it targets.
