A man shot and killed a woman and then shot and killed himself Friday on Whidbey Island, according to authorities.
Island County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at about 3:30 p.m. about a child custody exchange on South Whidbey.
Before officers arrived, John Meadows of Greenbank, 42, of Greenbank fled the scene with Natasha Blouin, 32, of Freeland and their infant, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
At some point Meadows shot and killed Blouin, according to authorities. Meadows then shot and killed himself at a location outside of Freeland, authorities said.
The infant is unharmed and safe.
The Island County Sheriff's Office said they are not looking for any additional suspects at this time and will release additional information when it becomes available.
