No one was injured when a house burned Saturday morning on Camano Island.
Camano Island Fire & Rescue crews responded shortly after 6 a.m. June 22 to the 600 Block of
, off of S. Camano Drive about 1.6 miles south of Elger Bay grocery.
Crews arrived to find one structure fully-involved, with fire encroaching onto an additional home, according to CIFR. All occupants escaped the structures and were uninjured.
North County Regional Fire Authority assisted on the fire, which is still under investigation. Island County Sherriff’s Department, with assistance from Snohomish County Fire Investigators, remained on scene to investigate the cause.
