Two luncheons this month offer chances to stop and take stock in the state of the city of Stanwood and the area’s business communities.

A joint city and chamber public luncheon to review 2018 and look ahead will start at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, in the Stanwood-Camano School District board room. Stanwood Mayor Leonard Kelley will present the State of the City, and Stanwood Chamber of Commerce President Shaina Holbeck will give the 2019 State of the Chamber address. Camano Island Chamber of Commerce President Jim Ayers will present 2018 successes and 2019 goals in the 2019 State of the Chamber luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, in the Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island. Marla Williams will provide practical business solutions and how to make strategic planning easy.
