An upcoming event offers chances to connect students and parents to the resources they need.

Stanwood High School is hosting the community resource night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 3.

This is the second community resource open house of this type for the school. Through it, families and students have a chance to get basic information about various agencies, such as hours and locations.

A keynote speaker will discuss vaping and substance abuse in teens starting at 6 p.m.

Families will learn about the many services provided in our community, discover student social/emotional support options and see presentations on several wide-ranging topics, including mental health, suicidal ideation, at risk youth, substance abuse, food bank, free medical clinic, WorkSource, resource center, tutoring, McKinney Vento, housing, Cocoon House, service alternatives, and many more. The Stanwood High Booster Club will provide meals for attendees and childcare on the site.
