Dear Editor,

These have been difficult times for us all, especially for families with children and retirees with a fixed income. Our voting ballots will include many important issues. Camano Island Fire and Rescue needs to renew the Fire Levy to continue with the services they provide efficiently.

I personally have experienced the necessity for the quick paramedic response and have also benefited from their free trainings for first aid and CPR. I have also called on two different occasions for marine rescue.

Until recently, Camano Fire has provided community paramedicine by checking on vulnerable members in the community, trying to avoid more serious conditions. They have had to pause the service recently and hope to restart it soon. The renewal of the fire levy will cost roughly an additional $155 per year for a home valued at $500,000.

Please let us vote to continue with the great services our Camano Fire District provides, to all of us, efficiently and promptly.
