2018 Spartan Hall of Fame

The 1975-76 Stanwood boys basketball team is inducted in to the Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Now is the time to nominate a person or team to join the Stanwood High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Nominations will be accepted for now through Feb. 22. Applications for nomination are available in the Stanwood High athletic office, at stanwood.wednet.edu. or by using this link.

The Stanwood High School Athletic Hall of Fame honors Stanwood High student athletes, coaches, teams and sports contributors for their achievements and/or contributions to the Stanwood athletic program. The designation “Stanwood High School” encompasses Stanwood High School, as well as Lincoln High School and Twin City High School of the past.

In October, athletes, coaches, contributors and teams were inducted into the hall of fame at a banquet attended by more than 300 supporters.

The honorees included individual athletes Brent Olson, Megan LaLone, Kearney Strand, Miriam McCallum, Ron Olson and Tina Donahue, coach Darwin Seeley, and contributor Art Wiper, along with the 1975-76 boys’ basketball and the 1994-95 girls’ basketball teams, and a pair of special awards for former Stanwood athlete Clyde Brokaw and the Sande family.
