ST. PATRICK’S DAY CELEBRATION: Violinist Sharyn Peterson, accompanied by Peterson Conservatory of Music and Arts students, will present “When Irish Eyes are Smiling“ from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at Trinity Anglican Church, 1200 Cleveland Ave., Mount Vernon. Snacks and refreshments will be served afterward.
The conservatory’s Selah String Ensemble will provide music for the Evensong Service from 7:15 to 8 p.m.
FREE SPAGHETTI DINNER: United Methodist Church of Anacortes, 2201 H Ave., Anacortes, will host a free spaghetti dinner for the Fidalgo Island community from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21.
WOMEN’S CONFERENCE: Kim Meeder will be the featured speaker at the Women HAND in Hand’s Wild Hope Women’s Conference on Saturday, March 23, in Sedro-Woolley. ASL interpreting will be available.
Meeder and her husband Troy co-founded Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch in Bend, Ore., an organization that rescues abused and dying horses and pairs them with children in need.
Meeder has also authored five books: “Hope Rising,” “Bridge called Hope,” “Blind Hope,” “Fierce Beauty” and “Encountering our Wild God.” Her books have been translated into five languages.

HOLDEN PRAYER SERVICES: First Lutheran Church, 2015 E. Blackburn Road, Mount Vernon, will hold Holden Evening Prayer Lenten services at 7 p.m. Wednesdays through April 10. A soup supper will be served at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
COMEDY AT ST. PAUL’S: “Bible Bingo: An Act of Charity in Two Acts!”, presented by the Chicago-based comedy theater group Nuns4Fun, will play on Saturday, April 6, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 415 S. 18th St., Mount Vernon.
Doors open for preregistration at 5:30 p.m. with a silent auction and appetizers at 6 p.m., followed by the performance at 7 p.m. Proceeds will fund a number of organizations supported by the St. Paul’s congregation.
Tickets are $30 for senior citizens and students (with ID), $35 for adults and $60 for couples, and on sale through St. Paul’s website (stpaulsmv.org) and Facebook page.
