ALGER — Colton Heath is the 360 division points leader at Skagit Speedway. Chase Goetz has four wins under his belt in the sportsman sprint division.

At the track’s Midseason Championships on Saturday night, they showed why they’ve had early-season success.

Heath passed Eric Fisher and held on for the 25-lap win in the A Main in his classification, and Goetz raced to victory in the A Main in his division for his fourth win of the season.

It was the midseason point for several classifications in the speedway season, with Adam Holtrop and Kevin Smith also nabbing wins.

Holtrop won the 17-lap tuner A Main, and Smith won the modified-classification feature.

In his race, Heath took the lead from Fisher with seven laps down and held on for the win. Fisher finished second and Greg Hamilton, Jason Solwold and Robbie Price made up the rest of the top five.

Goetz held on to his lead through several restarts to best a field that included second-place finisher Kelsey Carpenter, who fiercely challenged Goetz early, and third-place finisher Jayme Barnes.

Steve Parker and Michael Bollinger finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Heath won the 360 scramble and Kyle Hanson won the outlaw tuner scramble. Goetz won the sportsman scramble and Kevin Smith won the modified scramble.
