COUPEVILLE — Matty Lagerwey won four events in the girls’ meet and Andre Knudson won three events in the boys’ meet as the La Conner track and field program swept the Northwest 2B Bi-District titles on Saturday.
Lagerwey won the 100-meter dash (13.06 seconds), triple jump (36 feet, 3 inches), javelin (113-1) and long jump (17-10 1/2) as the Braves scored 119 points to win the five-team girls’ meet.
Knudson won the 800 (2:02.96), 1,600 (4:46.66) and 3,200 (10:52.80) as the Braves scored 164 points to capture the boys’ crown.
Noah Lee won the 100 (11.48) and 200 (23.31), Josh Jolly won the triple jump (40-6) and high jump (5-6), and Bradey Wyles won the 110 hurdles (19.48) and javelin (147-7).
The Braves’ Arjuna Adams won the 300 hurdles (44.31) and placed second in the 100 (11.71) and qualified for state by time in the latter event.
The winner in each event qualified for next week’s Class 2B state meet at Eastern Washington University in Cheney. Athletes could also advance by matching or surpassing a qualifying mark.
Gavin Brown won the 400 (54.32). La Conner won both relays: the 400 with a lineup of Adams, Mason Murdock, Brown and Lee (45.27) and the 1,600 with the same runners (3:40.49).
Concrete junior Levi Lowry qualified for state with a win in the shot put (42-5 1/2) and Tyler Nevin did the same in the long jump (20-6 1/2).
In the girls’ meet, La Conner’s Addison Reinstra won the 100 hurdles (16.88) and 300 hurdles (49.77). Morgan Herrera won the shot put (35-1) and the 800 relay team of Reinstra, Emma Keller, Mari Waltner and Herrera won in 2:01.82.

SEDRO-WOOLLEY — The league title-winning Wolverines dispatched the Lions in the postseason matchup to end Concrete’s season. Friday Harbor went on to qualify for the Class 2B state tournament with an 11-1 win over Orcas Island.
