BURLINGTON — The Burlington-Edison boys’ golf team couldn’t have asked for a better day in terms of weather Tuesday on its home course of Skagit Golf & Country Club.
It could have gone a little better in terms to the final team score for the Tigers.
Burlington-Edison was edged in the Northwest Conference match by a Squalicum team that finished with a score of 446.
Burlington-Edison finished second with 455, followed by Sehome (467), Bellingham (470), Nooksack Valley (511), Lynden (512) and Meridian (617).
Conrad Brown brought home medalist honors for the Tigers, shooting a 74.
Andrew Henry finished with a 91 for Burlington-Edison, followed by Erik Altenhofen (93), Cobe Betz (97), Brayden Konkle (100) and Ethan Sayer (103).
Burlington-Edison, Sedro-Woolley, Anacortes at Northwest Conference
BELLINGHAM — The Tigers won the match played at North Bellingham Golf Course.
Burlington-Edison — paced by the round of 82 by Cormac Briggance, the second lowest on the day — topped the field with a team score of 472.
Behind the Tigers, were Lynden Christian (540), Sehome (578), Mount Baker (586), Sedro-Woolley (652), Anacortes (656) and Ferndale (700).
Sedro-Woolley’s Amy Jo Graber was the top Cub, finishing with a round of 98.
Kieriona Nichols was the Seahawks’ low scorer with a round of 124.
