ANACORTES — Saville Feist’s record-setting day was the highlight of the Anacortes track and field team’s three-team meet Wednesday at home.
Feist broke a 37-year-old school record in the 3,200-meter run.
She finished the race in 11 minutes, 7 seconds to beat the previous record of 11:09.
The Seahawks also saw a win in the javelin by Halsie Keltner (115 feet, 6 inches).
Macy Yanega won the 100 (12.92 seconds) and 200 (27.16), while three Seahawks — Olivia Feist, Allie Carroll and Amy Aggergaard — cleared 4-10 in the high jump.
Burlington-Edison’s Audrey Knutson’s 10-foot pole vault was seventh best in school history.
In the boys’ meet, the Tigers’ Logan Wright landed ninth in school history with a 21-1 1/2 long jump, while Taino Ferdinand and Malakhi Stevenson finished 1-2 in the triple jump — Stevenson with a two-foot personal best.
La Conner, Concrete, Mount Vernon Christian at Northwest 1B/2B League Championships
LA CONNER — Matty Lagerwey and Morgan Herrera each won multiple events as La Conner won the girls’ meet; the Braves also won the boys’ meet.
Lagerwey won the 100 (13.59), triple jump (31-4 1/2), long jump (16-4) and javelin (88-4).
Herrera won the 200 (28.67), shot put (34-1) and discus (85-0).
The Braves won the girls’ meet with 110 points and the boys’ meet with 103 points.
La Conner’s Andre Knudson won the 800 (2:07.01) and 1,600 (4:47.62), while Josh Jolly won the long jump (18-11) and high jump (5-9).
Mount Vernon Christian’s Gabe Taylor won the triple jump (42-7 1/2), 100 (11.52) 200 (23.55) and 400 (52.83).
Teammate Micah Hays won the 110 hurdles (16.04) and 300 hurdles (42.63).
Concrete’s Levi Lowry won the shot put (42-7 1/2).
Sedro-Woolley at Lynden
LYNDEN — Dayna Sumrall won the pole vault in the girls’ meet for the Cubs, vaulting 7-6.
Maren Mihelich added a victory in the javelin (97-8) and Amaya Armio won the shot put with a personal-best of 33-10.
In the running events, freshman Heather Vanderbeek won the 100 hurdles (17.94) and Natalia Taylor won the 3,200 (13:22.79).
Concrete Lions 9, Darrington Loggers 5
DARRINGTON — The Lions wrapped up the regular season with a win behind a big day by Tyler Coffell, who had three hits and was the winning pitcher.
Coffell was 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI, and struck out eight in 6 2/3 innings.
Shane Luttrell had a triple and three RBI for the Lions.
Concrete will play Seattle Lutheran in a postseason game at 1 p.m. May 9 in Seattle.
Regardless of the outcome, the Lions will play again in Sedro-Woolley on May 11.
Anacortes Seahawks 18, Meridian Trojans 2
BELLINGHAM —Abby Reis picked up her first career victory and third baseman Ariana Bickley smacked a pair of doubles as the Seahawks remained undefeated at 10-0 in the Northwest Conference and 16-0 overall.
Kamiak Knights 4, Mount Vernon Bulldogs 3
MUKILTEO — Mount Vernon’s Sydney Schwehm won her singles match 6-1, 7-6 and Taryn Rouw won her match 6-1, 6-4.
In doubles, the team of Diana Carrillo Betancourt and Grace Cole won 3-6, 6-4, 10-7.
