A candidate for public office is accused of stealing one of her opponent’s campaign signs ahead of Tuesday’s general election.

Germaine Kornegay, who is running for a second term on the Skagit Public Utility District board, could be charged with a misdemeanor. State law forbids removing or defacing political advertising.

I’m sure there’s more to this story… and it’s sad that newspapers don’t report the whole truth. To akin Germaine to be some “thug” is a continued perpetual narrative for people that look like her. Easy sale, right?

Do better writing…. And find the real story.

Morals and ethics, Germaine is missing these first characterists needed to serve in any public capacity. She is willing to obstuct her opposing canidate's freedom of speech and hinder her campaign. I would never want someone who has no intergrity and does not respect the laws of our state to oversee a budget exceeding $60,000,000. #ResignKornegay

Well… the people have spoken… and they support Kornegay, her moral and ethics. Clearly this futile attempt to smear her name failed.

Skagit Jake

If Germaine is willing to break the law to steal campaign signs for self-benefit, I'd question Germaine's ethics in managing our water-- Actions speak volumes..
